Tasmanian Wilderness 400G SOY CANDLE

Take a bush walk through the remaining wilds of lost Australia.  The sweet and honey-like fragrance of fresh wattle blends with fragrant greens and earthy vanilla.

Burn time around 80 hours.

Made in Australia by Bramble Bay.

Some tips about safe burning of candles.

  • Ensure wicks are regularly trimmed to a height no greater than 5mm to ensure your candle burns low. A high flame from an untrimmed wick will create black smoke and can overheat the glass.
  • One of the main causes of candle soot/black smoke is an overly long wick. An overly long wick causes a higher flame and faster uptake of the liquid wax. This will result in an imbalance of heat & fuel and the resulting chemical reaction can produce excess soot and smoke.
  • If candles are in draughty areas, near air vents, fans or open windows, this can also result in a faster burn and produce soot.
  • Don’t blow out your candle. Use a snuffer to extinguish the flame and once flame is extinguished, use the snuffer to dip the wick back into the wax to recoat the wick for your next burn.
  • For best results allow the candle to burn for a minimum of 2-3 hours at first use to ensure the full circumference of the candle has melted. This will ensure it burns evenly on subsequent burns and prevents tunnelling.
  • Do not burn longer than 2-3 hours at a time.
  • Cease burning when 1cm of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the candle jar.
  • NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Follow instructions on the warning label and on the packaging.
  • Recycle, re-purpose & re-use the vessel when you have reached the end of your candle. Simply scrape out the cooled wax, wash in warm soapy water and it’s ready to go!
